Spring Wedding Rush

Tips and ideas to make this your best wedding season yet

Spring is here and with it comes all of the wedding invites common for this time of year. Weddings are not just wonderful occasions to share with our loved ones, they also give us a reason to buy pretty new dresses and shower our soon-to-be married friends with gifts they will cherish forever. Here are some ideas and tips to give you a head start on the spring wedding season!
Wedding Guest Etiquette
Whether it’s the first wedding of the season or your first wedding ever, it is always a good idea to follow wedding guest etiquette. RSVP as soon as the invitation arrives and if it’s a destination wedding, be sure to book your travel in a timely manner to secure the best rates. Also, this would be a great time to send a gift to the happy couple. Not only do you get to cross gift purchasing off of your to-do list, it also shows the couple that you’re excited about and supportive of their upcoming union.
Unique and Useful Gifts
A couple’s registry is obviously a great place to start for gift ideas, but sometimes you want to give
the couple something a little more creative and personal. If the couple is planning a honeymoon to a
tropical destination, putting together a fun-in-the-sun package complete with the necessary SPF and
cute couple accessories, like matching towels, can be a really fun way to show that you care.
Another gift idea is to create an at-home spa package for the newlyweds to pamper each other with.
Fill a large basket with his and hers robes and everything they will need for a relaxing spa day, like
JAFRA’s Soothing Mineral Bath Salts and Royal Olive Body Oil. You could also include his and hers
skin care with the Royal Jelly Ritual for the bride and the JF9 Chrome Skin Care Collection for the
groom, so the bride won’t have to share. ;)
Fabulous Wedding Guest Frocks
This wedding season has amazing options when it comes to wedding guest looks. For day or night
weddings, you can’t go wrong with a classic wrap dress. Try a bold hue like electric blue, emerald
green or ultra-violet, an especially hot color this year. If the wedding is in the evening, a maxi dress
and strappy heels is a great go-to combo. Floral print dresses from mild to wild are another key trend
this spring. These are perfect for daytime weddings from the garden to the beach. Go for fun details that are having a moment like ruffles, dramatic bell sleeves and printed matching sets, and you’re sure to have a stylish, love-filled wedding season

What to Wear: Fall 2017

New looks and Fashion Week inspiration to cozy up to for autumn.

It’s autumn and that means there’s a chill in the air and an urge to update your closet. Unlike its predecessor summer, which forces us to strip down to the bare essentials to endure the stifling heat, this season’s falling temperatures and hot apple cider vibe beg for cozy coats, sexy boots and never-ending layers. Keep reading and see the must haves for your new fall wardrobe.
Knee High Boots
A classic cure-all with transformative power. Slipping into a knee high boot, or an even higher over-the-knee boot, has a way of making you feel confident enough to take on anything fall tosses your way. Over-the-knee stiletto style boots were all over the Fashion Week runways, and celebs like Gigi Hadid and the Kardashian camp have been spotted in them since September.
Fall Florals
If you remember the nineties, you remember that flowy, floral dresses were everything. Well, they’re back again, filling fashionista closets from Paris to Milan. Darker, moodier florals are particularly on trend this season. Pair yours with a moto jacket and boots and you’re good as gold…or should we say, grunge?
Knits and Velvet
This year, rather than a simple cashmere sweater and jeans, why not mix it up? Flowing, velvet palazzo-style pants are everywhere, offering the rare opportunity to be both comfortable and chic. Sweater skirts and dresses in a variety of styles allow you to be warm and cozy from head to toe with a fashion game that’s on point.
Statement Sweats
Last, but certainly not least, the athleisure trend lounges on. You may feel laid back and lazy in your matching sweats (preferably in pastels), but add a pair of booties and a statement bag and - voila! Sunday brunch has never looked so fashion-forward or felt so good.

Fall Bride To Be

Tips and trends for saying, “I do” this autumn

Summer is known as wedding season, but fall weddings are not without their special charm, with nature’s breathtaking color changes and the crisp hint of cool weather to come. Here are some fall bridal trends to keep your special day on-point:
The Dress
This season, bridal gown trends include lace, long sleeves and royally-inspired high necks. Other common threads mimic more recent fashion revivals; off-the-shoulder styles and bell sleeves give a fresh twist to bridal wear. Other trends borrowed from the runways are ruffles and cascading tiered bottoms, adding a little more romance to this year’s fall weddings. Dress colors this season shift from the classic all-white, to ivory, champagne and even blush tones to accompany the deeper hues of fall.
The Face
This fall’s bridal makeup steers towards a more subtle kind of drama. A softer smokey eye done in a shimmering neutral palette and finished with black mascara and liner goes well with the warm golden colors of the season. Peach blush on the cheeks and a nude lip create a beautifully natural look. Fall brides are going for glowing skin with pink champagne highlighters and warm blushes, like JAFRA’s Powder Blush in Havana Spice, paired with a simple eye and a plum-colored lip, like our Full Coverage Lipstick in Berry Vamp.
The Friends
While the bride is the star of the show, she definitely wants her bridesmaids to feel beautiful, too! This fall bridesmaid’s dress trends may leave you with a dress you’d actually wear again. ;) This year’s options are modern, chic and stylish. Look for one-shoulder or off-the-shoulder styles that are tea length or floor length and ruffled tiers and unique sleeves to match the bride. Color trends range from deep neutrals to burgundies, both of which look amazing with the blush champagne trends for the bride.

The Décor
This season’s decorative inspiration comes from Mother Nature herself, using the Pantone Color of the Year, Greenery, and other forest-like hues as a jumping off point for invitations, table settings and more. Earthy neutrals are another fall-perfect wedding palette with touches of burgundy as the perfect pop of color. Coming out on top, metallics are the big winner in fall wedding décor. Add rose gold or copper accents for some sophisticated sparkle on your wedding day.

Fall 2017 Hair Trends

Inspiration for new your new fall look

Fall is the perfect time to ditch your old hair style and go for something fresh and exciting! Even if you’re not heading back to school anymore, you can still get a back-to-school hair reboot. Check out the cut, color and style inspiration below to keep your locks on trend for next season.
A blunt bob with bangs promises to be THE cut of 2017.  It’s so popular on Pinterest and Instagram right now that even the most adventurous among us might consider a reinterpretation of this classic. Leave it a little shaggy for a tousled look. A mid-length waves with warm brown highlights are another fall staple coming back into the fold and curly girls everywhere are embracing their natural textures with fun cuts and braids.
When it comes to color, there is a soft subtle shade of pink springing up on a lot of celebrity heads right now. There is also a slew of more sophisticated and sultry color combos for fall, like sherbet shades of peach, grombre (grey ombre) and rose-gold blonde. Oh, and the good news for those us who can’t get to the colorist very often is that roots are still having a moment. Think like 3 to 5 inches of natural color.
This fall’s hairstyle trends offer a few throwbacks from the past, including long, straight, center-parted Cher hair and romantic braids. Braids in general are everywhere right now,  from intricate micro braids to tossing a few random plaits in with beachy waves. A pretty little detail from the Fashion Week runways are black ribbons, big and small, tied onto the tops of ponytails, chignons and braids. Double or juxtaposed texture looks are also having a moment, referring to a chic slicked back look on top and textured or teased look at the bottom.
